According to Newarama, IDW is prepping a new Doctor Who comic, written by Gary Russell and featuring the Tenth Doctor.
The article gives a brief history of The Doctor in comics and segues into an interview with Russell about his plans for the comic.
It all sounds very good, and to add some icing to the cake, IDW will be doing newly colored reprints of the old Dave Gibbons strips from Dr. Who Weekly.
Can we get a “WOOT, WOOT!” from the audience?
Okay, with the new series starting March 31st, the current issue of Radio Times is profiling the show and providing us with some interesting tidbits. Like the titles for all the episodes:

Some possible spoilery stuff below the break…
(more…)
I’ve been down with the flu for the better part of two weeks, so things have been more than a bit sparse around here. I’m still sick (dammit), so it’s going to continue on like this a bit longer.
Some random thoughts, while I’m here:
Inspector Morse is fine TV. Very fine. John Thaw inhabits the title role in much the way Gandolfini inhabits Tony Soprano (although the shows have little else in common). I’ve been working my way through the series and it’s pushed me into picking up a couple of the original books (by Colin Dexter, on which the show is based) and let me tell you, they’re damn fine books.
Watching the news, I’m sticking firm to my prediction that Al Gore will step into the presidential race, and I’m pretty sure the crazy little fucker is going to win. So you beter start looking into those ugly little electric cars or you’ll probably end up in front of a firing squad. (I wonder if Aston Martin makes a hybrid?)
Have I told everyone here that I really love my wonderful wife? She’s going off to Russia for six weeks at the end of May and I’m going to be alone until the fourth of July. I’ll probably really enjoy the freedom of the first week, watching, listening to and drinking whatever the hell I want without having to worry about what she feels like doing, but once the initial novelty wears off, it’s going to suck. (dammit.)
Third series of Doctor Who begins on 31 March, really looking forward to that. Which, considering how many horrible years we suffered without any new Who to watch, that’s a damn nice thing to be able to say.
Oh, and head over to Netflix or Amazon and take a look for the latest BBC production of Bleak House (the one with Gillian Anderson of all people). It’s absolutely bloody marvelous and everyone who likes Dickens should own a copy.
And one last thing, will someone please tell Ryan Seacrest that “text” is not a fucking verb? Please?
I was just sifting through a Doctor Who forum where I discovered my new favorite word. It was in a post by Who novel writer Lance Parkin.
The Daleks have a word, ‘Clyffil’. It means ‘Yes, I understand perfectly, it’s just that you’re wrong’.
Which is just too perfect……
