I don’t normally bother to post about scandals. They’re almost always based on idiocy (and Don Imus calling the Rutgers women’s basketball team a bunch of nappy headed hos is certainly idiocy of the first order), but Wanda Sykes was on the Tonight Show last night.
Apparently, the media keeps calling her and asking her what she thinks about the Imus scandal. Her response? Glad you asked…

But for the record, Imus’ remarks were racist, much like you. And God is a fairy tale. And you’re a fucking idiot.
And you need to stop shouting before someone kicks you in the balls. M’kay?

Man, I am just drinking a brew seein what my RSS feeder has for me and I come across what… “Nappy Headed Hos.” Only to find a Nappy headed ho troll. I think I have now figured out the blogging secret for getting trolls. Well worded titles.
Anyways, I had a conversation with a friend of a friend whom actually sided with Imus. Why you would ever put yourself on the line for a worthless moron like him I have no idea?
But the simple statement that stopped the fellow from talking was my response, “Yes other shock jocks out there might be just as bad, and even if he didn’t deserve to get fired (which he did), he still made a socially charged racist comment. And that is what we are talking about; was what he said racist?”
The retort: Well yes it was racist, but if he was black you know he wouldn’t be fired.
What I wanted to say: Are you just as fucking stupid as Imus?
What I did say: That has nothing to do with the question nor what happened to Imus. And besides that it was the sponsorship dropping off that fucked over Imus more than anything else.
I have nothing else on this issue. As I stated over at Dave’s blog, I try not to waste time with morons.
